We arrived to leave our sweet Daisy this morning. Something felt wrong as I was driving up the drive way. As soon as we got out of the car, the smell of urine ammonia was so strong I wanted to leave. I didn't. When time to walk in, my pup didn't even want to go in the front door. It was time to take her to her kennel and leave her. She was TREMBLING by the time we got back there. She didn't want to go into the kennel space. It was very dark and only a small opening (when open) for her to go outside into the runner. The runner I was told was 12ft. I was also told her kennel was 4x6. Neither of those measurements were correct. They were much smaller. We got into our car, I called a past kennel we've used and Praise God he took her in. Our girl was only in that cell for about 5 minutes thank God and she will NEVER ever have to see that place again. I'll never use another kennel but our "Happy Tails Bed and Biscuit" EVER again!!! She got out of the car at drop off and didn't really even turn back to tell us bye when we called for her!! LOL
Skip (and Pat) do a outstanding job for three dogs. Boarded many times and never had any issues. He always confirms the day of boarding and pickup which I appreciate and he works with me in regards of drop off and pickup times which is amazing service for full time employed people like me. Highly recommend.
Frindly loving. My dog has never stayed in a cage, she hates them. She is taken in as soon as I get there and is ready in about an hour. Thank you all.
We picked up our dog after a vacation and he reeked of urine and the blanket we provided for him was drenched in urine. He is not one to pee on his own bed so I am wondering if other dogs peed on it. Even his paws were wet and it hadn't been raining. It makes me suspicious that they require you to give a time when you drop off or pick up your pet. Are they hiding something? Our dog was shaking like a leaf when we picked him up too. I am not sure what goes on there, but we will not use this place again.
My parents have boarded their dog here several times and speak highly of both Skip & Pat. I helped drop off their dog recently for a 6 day kennel stay...the dog recognized the entrance driveway and got very excited, when I let him out of the car he ran up to the entrance door and started jumping & pushing on the door to be let in...he was happy to be there!
