I attended this school 16 years ago, and the playground has not been updated since then. The paint is atrocious, the plastic steps are cracked or sometimes missing enormous chunks, the wood looks splintered, sunbleached, and unattended to. I was saddened to see this, it's a health hazard and simply unfit for young ones to play on. Kids' safety should he number one priority and it does not seem so at Wallace A Smith.
I went here from kindergarten to 1st grade. I was falsely accused of making one of your urinals in the boys bathroom overflow. No matter what I said your principal in 2010 ( I'm not sure if she is still your principal ) wouldn't believe me. I was in first grade at the time and I was 6. I'm 12 now and in 6th grade now, and it still bothers me. When I'm sad about something I reflect back on this and it still makes me even more sad. When I got home I told my parents and they didn't believe me for a long time. Everyone I told didn't believe me, except for my Nana. She had picked me up from school and I told her. I said no one believes me, she said I believe you. Those words comfort me to this day. If somehow the principal from 2010 sees this I want to say this, just know you have made something that has left a permanent mark on me. I will never forget it, it has made me build up so much hate for your school. And I'm glad I moved after 1st grade. You have made a mark on my personality that can't be undone. If your reading this review for this school, looking for a school to send your kid to, I don't recommend here. Well at least until they get more staff that treats their students better. Trust me I know, I went here. So that's what I have to say about this school. Oh and principal, always remember what mark you made on my personality...
